How to Replace Text with a Graphic in Word

Monday, January 19, 2009 View Comments Comments (0)
A picture is worth a thousand words?  Maybe, but sometimes one word equals one graphic image.  So, when you're working in Word want to replace the text in your document with an image – example: exchange company name for company logo – all you have to do is complete the following steps:

1. Place the graphic somewhere (anywhere) in your document.
2. Select the graphic.
3. Press Ctrl+X. The graphic will be removed and placed on the Clipboard.
4. Press Ctrl+H. The Find-and-Replace dialog box will appear at the Replace tab.
5. Enter the text you want replaced with the graphic in the Find What field.
6. In the Replace With field, enter ^c, or click on Special and choose Clipboard Contents.
7. If that's all you want to replace, click Replace All.  If you want more text replaced with same image, click on Find Next and continue until finished.
