How To Make an Online Form Secure

Tuesday, March 06, 2007 View Comments Comments (0)
Creating an online form is a great way to collect information from visitors, but when that information is sensitive or private, you may wish to protect the data with an added layer of security. No problem. Here's what to do:

After you have created a form, simply right-click on the form and select "Form Properties." In the dialog box that appears, click "Use Other Processor" button. When the "Explorer User Prompt" window opens, use your mouse or the arrow key to navigate to the beginning of the URL line. Just before the forward slash, enter the following: https://secure.websrvcs.com

Click "OK." Then click "OK" again in the dialog box and you're done! If you want to learn more about forms, sign up now for the Web Session class on March 20 -- "Visitor Information: Discover How Forms Can Be Used for Event Registrations, Prayer Requests and More."

Tables: How to Make the Borders of Individual Cells Invisible

Tuesday, February 27, 2007 View Comments Comments (0)
You may already know that you can make the borders of a table invisible by opening "Table Properties" and setting the "Border Size" to zero. But did you know that you can also make borders of one cell or several cells invisible while keeping the border around the rest of the table?

Here's how: place your cursor inside the cell where you want to see the border disappear. Right click and under the "Cell" category, select "Cell Properties." When the box opens, select a Background Color, then select the same Border Color. Click "OK." This will give the appearance that the cell has no border lines while keeping the other cell borders in tact. Note: this tip requires that your table has a cell spacing value of "1" or greater.

Tables can be used to position text and images on a web page. You can also set page text to wrap around the table. As you create the table, the "Table Properties" dialog screen will appear. In the Alignment drop-down box, choose either “left” or “right,” which will force the text to wrap around the top, sides and bottom of the table.

Friday, February 16, 2007 View Comments Comments (0)
Effective February 12, the E-zekiel content management platform released a new security update designed to keep customers one step ahead of an ever-evolving World Wide Web. We added a security feature that removes the opportunity for someone to gain access to protected data through the manipulation of cookies on an individual's computer.

This is an important step that assures a secure web environment for all users of the E-zekiel content management platform. You do not have to do anything different, the change is already in place. If you have any questions, please feel free to contact our support staff at support@e-zekiel.com or 1-888-942-6607.

Web sites aren't just for telling your visitors all about your organization. They also offer many opportunities for you to find out a lot from your visitors.
