Every non profit organization should be interested in a good ranking in search engines. After all, you want your online constituents to find your site and to learn about you and perhaps even contribute in some way. They won't do that if they don't find you. The process of improving your results on search engines is called Search Engine Optimization (SEO).

2) The key thing to note: there is NO SHORTCUT. SEO requires good old fashioned hard work, but will be worth it in increased traffic to your site.
