Website awards. For a non-profit website. Sounds good, right? Shie Rozow was just trying to figure out how to help others, let alone win even one web site design award. He first started with a $19/month Altrue website content management solution, our bronze package. The website was up even before he incorporated and got his non-profit tax status. "When I originally started looking into creating The Bright Side website, I was quite disheartened since producing the type of site I wanted seemed beyond reach. I have some experience with web design, and I realized what I needed was a database driven site that was much more complex than my own programming abilities. I also knew how expensive and time consuming it is to create such involved sites. I was just about ready to revise my vision to a much more modest one, when I found Altrue.
I found Altrue through TechSoup, and after playing around with their online demo, I called to ask some questions. The level of service I received, the personal attention and the level of commitment that was expressed even before I had signed up as a customer had me hooked. I decided to use Altrue's system to develop my site, and within hours they had me up and running!
As I developed the site, I realized there were certain features I wanted that did not exist. Every time I approached Altrue with a request, the response was fast, and many of my requests were catered to within their existing template since they believed these ideas were useful to all their clients. I was delighted, not only that they were so willing to implement my ideas, but also that ideas they felt were generally beneficial to all their customers were implemented almost immediately and at no charge.
However, I did have feature requests that were very specific to my needs. After consulting with Altrue, I sent them a wish list of features, and told them what my budget was. Once again they outdid themselves as they agreed to fulfill all of my top requests within my budget. All my custom features were superbly executed, any changes and adjustments I requested were quickly implemented and they were wonderfully! Altrue also customized their template to fit my own graphic design so that the site looks exactly as I had envisioned it.
We have since won 50 website awards and the number of visitors keeps going up and up.
At the risk of sounding cliché, I am thankful to Altrue beyond words. Without Altrue, The Bright Side wouldn't shine nearly as brightly as it does. They have been an amazing resource, and I look forward to raising the funds necessary to continue to add more custom features. I am sure that this is the beginning of what will be a very long, and wonderful relationship."
